The colourful attitude to life of freedom and euphoria is infecting more and more young people: Just in time for the publication date of the illustrated book, the "Peaches on Wheels" event took place in Hamburg. From 19 to 21 May 2023, visitors to the three-day event experienced a wide-ranging programme: In addition to workshops, contests, panel discussions, meet-ups, roller disco and street tours, the illustrated book "Roller Skaters - Life is better on 8 wheels" also played an important role.

Retro and nostalgia

Together with Anke Dregnat, one of the organisers of the event, author Marta Popowskas had the pleasure of presenting her recently published book. Marta Popowska is a passionate roller skater herself and used to play roller derby professionally. Her experience and love for the sport is reflected in an illustrated book that conveys the attitude towards life of an entire community.
