Today is International Women's Day. And we celebrate all women who achieve their goals with determination and strength, who are inspiration, role model and anchor. Happy International Women's Day! 

Since 1911, International Women's Day has been celebrated as a global celebration of women's rights and gender equality. On the one hand, the day celebrates the successes of women's rights movements to date and, on the other, is intended to focus on inequalities and discrimination that still exist. 

The photobook Eye Mama by filmmaker and photographer Karni Arieli also sheds light on the role of women, her special role of motherhood, and makes visible what often remains invisible. Eye Mama gathers images that show the light and dark sides of caregiving and parenthood, the beauty of close-ups, love and hardship, and above all, the personal poetic truths of these mamas and artists. The impressive cover picture by Paola Lizarazo Peña is one of many masterpieces in the book. It unites three generations of women in deep intimacy with each other.
