A Tribute to Faraway Asia

A Tribute to Faraway Asia

Travel fever medicine, declaration of love and nomadic inspiration!

For urban escapists, modern nomads, nature-loving city dwellers and backpackers.

Cosmopolitan and connected
Authentic experiences instead of package tours
Adventure instead of predictability

This volume promises inspiration for travellers of a new generation with a need for freedom, experience and naturalness. In Fernweh Fernost, the authors deliver a homage to exotic Asia and a declaration of love for wanderlust and freedom.

On a transcontinental journey, the two authors and photographers Alexandra Schels and Patrick Pichler travel through eight countries that could not be more different: China, Mongolia, Japan, Nepal, South Korea, Taiwan, Myanmar and Sri Lanka. There they experience untamed nature, pulsating cities, colourful traditions and special fates.
Alexandra Schels and Patrick Pichler document the unique beauty of Asia on a large and small scale and capture unforgettable moments. They tell of adventures, experiences and wonderful encounters.
