Stefan Bitterle, born in Bonn in 1965, is a freelance writer, private and commercial pilot and flight instructor. He holds a master's degree in Eastern European history, politics and philosophy and worked as a reporter and presenter of the programs "Nachtschicht" and "Roxy" at WDR2 before becoming senior editor for current cultural topics at WDR 3. Today, he works for Deutschlandfunk, among others, writes for various specialist media and, as a member of the Aviation Press Club, accompanies public relations work for aviation projects.
