Pedro Jarque Krebs is an award-winning photographer born in Lima, Peru. He graduated in Philosophy of Sciences from the Sorbonne University in Paris. In 1983, he won the first prize for black and white photography from the city council of Lima. Since then, Pedro Jarque Krebs has received more than 200 international awards and recognitions. These include the Sony World Photography Awards, which he won five times, the Siena Creative Awards (Italy), which he won four times, Bird Photographer of the year 2018 overall winner (UK), Oasis Photo Contest (Italy) 1st Prize in 2017, Top 10 Photographers of the world at Sente Antu award in China in 2017. 2021 he was a finalist in the prestigious Hasselblad Masters competition. In 2023, he won the “Absolute Wildlife Photographer of the Year” prize at the reFocus Awards competition.
In October 2016, he was named “Photographer of the Month” by National Geographic France. In 2019, teNeues published a book of his work entitled Fragile, which received several international awards, including first prize at the International Photography Awards.
