Who doesn’t yearn for warmer climes on these cool winter days? With Cool Escapes
Island Resorts, we offer the perfect inspiration for all those who are “ready for some
island time.” Healing Hotels of the World showcases top accommodations that cater
entirely to the physical and emotional well-being of their guests, while Swiss
and Alpine Islands documents one of the best kept secrets around, featuring over
20 islands in Switzerland and northern Italy. We continue our successful interior design
series Living in Style with another island paradise, Mallorca. This title highlights
what are surely the most beautiful villas and fi ncas in the Mediterranean.
We’re breaking all speed limits with our lavish automotive titles—in fact, we just
won another 1st prize in the ADAC Motorwelt automotive book contest. Meanwhile,
René Staud’s The Porsche 911 Book marks the 50th anniversary of one of the greatest
and most legendary sports cars—all in Staud’s usual masterful style. The eBike
Book traces the rise of a completely different, forward-looking, and ecological trend
in urban mobility, following hot on the heels of our best-selling The Bike Book.
Joining master photographer Elliott Erwitt (whose iconic images we published this past
year in an unprecedented limited XXL edition) is another Magnum Photos luminary,
Thomas Hoepker—who is now publishing with teNeues. Hoepker’s debut volume with
us is a collection of his most stunning New York images from the past fi ve decades. The
successful Stern Fotografie series continues with two extraordinary British photographers:
Nadav Kander, who dazzles us with both his portraits and his landscapes, and
Alison Jackson, whose simulated paparazzi photographs quench our insatiable appetite
for outrageous and humorous celebrity images. With Marc Lagrange we present an
artist whose subtle scenarios are without equal in the world of erotic photography.
Meanwhile, The Playmates of the Decade immortalizes some of the most beautiful
women of the 21st century—all taken from the pages of Playboy.
